"quick ratio steering?"

hi there guys,
my 91 vette cam with zo7 rpo package and i heard that zo7 came with the
quick ratio steering set up!
which has 2-2.25 turns lock to lock compared to 2 and 3/4 turn lock to lock i think it was!
does any one know of this for a fact at all please?

Here's what I do know.

These Z RPOs are all handling packages Z07, Z51, Z52. The exotics are also Zs. Callaways are Z5G, and of course ZR1s.

I know the 51/52s have quick (I've also heard it reffered to as fast) ratio steering because I've driven a 51 and have an '88 Z52. Same thing only a little softer. It's waaaay good and shorter throws from stop to stop compared to a standard ratio setup but I cannot tell you the number of turns, and I haven't had my coffee yet. I'll check later.

Back to the point. Your Z07 handling package must include the quick ratio steering. I'll get back to you later after I go out to the garage and find out what a Z52 is from stop to stop and we'll compare numbers.

And the answer is...

My '88 Z52 is 2.0 turns from stop to stop.

When I drove my neighbor's standard suspension '87 I couldn't believe the huge difference the Z package makes in overall handling. I couldn't drive the usual local roads at anywhere near what my comfortable speeds are in my Z52 equiped '88. I'll have to check his later to see what the number of turns is now that you have me thinking about it.

i have not personaly counted how many turns my car has, i was just qouting about what other guys said they had or should of had thats all!
