Another item on my to-do list for this week-- change the upper and lower radiator hoses while I flush the coolant. Can you buy the correct hoses for a 69 350/350 at a local automotive store, or any specific recommendations? Thanks for any info. I think in another 6 months I'll know this car inside and out.

Try your local parts houses ... they'll probably be able to supply rad hoses. Just make sure that any lower rad hose has a wire coil either molded into it or crammed inside ... to prevent it from collapsing as the wp draws from it ... this not an issue w/ top hose.

While I have the upper hose off, I might change the thermostat. Any aftermarket recommendations? My 69 350/350 SB runs at about 205F-- is this the correct temp? Thanks for any info.

You can get a lower rad hose aftermarket without a spring installed if you want-itl cost you less and be easier to find one. All you need to do is remove the spring from your existing lower hose and install it into the new hose. Make sure you space it out into the center of the hose as much as possible. Rotate the spring to get it to slide into the new hose.

This is what I did and it works beautiful.
