Is there any difference between the 65 and 66 radiator supports w/o A/C? I had a brass replacement radiator in there and a 64-65 fan shroud so I have to guess that the support may have been sourced as what ever was laying around when bubba put the ole girl back together..

Oh and on a seperate topic I thought everyone said you have to remove the support and or a upper a-arm to get the radiator out. I just undid the shroud and the radiator basically came right out??? Dave..

I don't know what you have there.

A core support mounts to the fenderwells at different angles in '63-5 and '66-7. You can't interchange a '65 with a '66 core support unless you have multiple mounting hole positions in your fenderwells.

The problem is removing a fiberglass fan shroud from a '66-7 Corvette without breaking it. I don't know of any great difficulty in removing a small block radiator from a mid-year if you just loosen the fan shroud.

Jerry - on a BB car the radiator outlet has a death grip on the shroud and the only way I have found to get either one out (without a scratch) is to remove them together. It is done by raising the rad and shoud on the LH side first (rotate 30-40 degrees) then lift out. I remove my hood to make it easy - but otherwise removing the fan and repositioning the horn relay will do it.

I'll post a pic if I get some time this evening. That way I'll know more about what I have. Any picticular angles views that would be more helpful in determining the one I have??? Dave..

Nope, know it's a copper sb type replacement rad. Just wondering since I have a 64-65 shroud whether the core support is a 65/66 or what ever.. Still didn't get the pic. Been doing honey do's.. Dave..
