radio antenna runs all the time

My radio antenna runs all the time unless I unplug it ( located right where the rear deck cover for the soft top attaches to the body). I've noticed that at times I can pug it in and it does not run all the time (key in off possition), then only to find that it will another time. I doubt it is the antenna as it seems to work fine. Seems like it is gettig a signal to run from some other source.

any hints?

Thanks C5D, You know more about elctronics in your sleep than I do awake. I'll have to print this out and study it for a while. Looks like just the info I needed however.
