I just bought a 1992 Black Rose Corvette. It will not play original CD's or copied CD's. The read out on the radio says "Error". Is there any thing I can try to get it to work?

What are my options to get it fixed?

Anyone have an original CD player radio to sell?

Thanks, Jason Mcclure jasonbrick@juno.com

My friend had a similar problem. He put one of those CD cleaner discs in, and the display cleared up and all CD's worked fine. Give that a try. John

had a similar problem to what your having, everytime i would try to eject a cd it would say error and i would have to try 4 or 5 times... generally its a simple fix, grab yourself a cd cleaner for about $5-$10 and you should be good to go

CD BOSE Repairs

Just went through this - CD failures are apparently common for this vintage vette. Luckily, I read back on all the previous postings for this topic. Lot's of experience out there!

SAVE YOURSELF THE GRIEF. Just send the unit to Dr. Don, and you will be more than pleased with the result! His info is pasted all over the place in this forum. Or, Doctordon.com, if you wish.

Dr. Don has a published price of $150 for an overhaul. He also auctions a repair on EBay for $110, which is the way I went - same service. I have never dealt with an outfit with such class.

Good luck!
