Radio question?

I am replacing my cassette head unit with a CD head unit. The casette unit controls the factory changer. Do all Corvette radios have the capability to control the factory CD changers or just the ones ordered with changers. Will a CD head unit that was ordered in a car without the changer option have the changer control plug. Thanks, Michael

from what I've discovered (except for maybe 1997 and 1998) all the C5 radios are capable of controlling the factory changer. Verify this by noting if the replacement radio has the changer control "scripts" on some of the buttons.
