Radio Question

I've been having a lot of static on my radio, so I've decided to swap it with another unit I picked up. Just curious, is there any way to disable the Theftlock function on the unit I have in the car now? I saw and read the instructions in the manual on how to reset if you loose power, but nothing on turning it off. Plus I have misplaced the code, so I don't want to kill the power till I'm sure I can get it back! I would hate to put the other unit in, find I have the same problem and not be able to get the original unit to work again.

See everybody in BG in two weeks, but now it's time to pack off to the races in Charlotte for a week!

I think that it is off unless you assign it a code. The dealer can reset it for you in any case.

By the way, do you need an upgrade on that 330xi? The new Z4 M Coupe that we build here in Spartanburg goes on sale the 27th! It looks a lot sharper than the regular Z4 roadster and has about 343 hp. Not a vette, but not bad for a 6 cylinder!.
