Since I've been getting bored alongside the highway (waiting for the late models to catch up), I decided it was time to upgrade that nasty ol' mono radio.

So, I got it all back together this afternoon, and Z28Canuck dropped by for a listen.

Compared to the original 5-watts mono, 180-watts stereo sounds mighty good. And, the knobs, push-buttons, the dial and how they all function are completely original. Amazing.

I'm waiting for a written unbias technical review from Z28 before I pass judgement, but it looks great :L

Seven weeks. There's a shortage of circuit boards from the manufacturer. However, the border probably added a week.

I do have to say this I pod thing is the greatest.its tiny,it holds 1000 songs, its output is crystal clear, Simple to use. Simple to purchase songs for Only $ 1.00 each or you can easily loads songs you all ready own on it.

The black cable (with red and white plugs) was installed to allow for just that.

I should add that I'm very pleased with the workmanship and attention to detail of Greg Thompson, the person who does the upgrade.

He also responded well to eMailed questions.

Not only were the harnesses well made, they were colour-coded with very well written, lengthy instructions to explain everything. He also included additional hardware and even threw in a fuse.

Good stuff.

I spoke to Greg this morning and ordered the speaker. He's a nice guy... spent time with me on the phone. He's going to try and get the radio back by the second week in May so "ll have it for the Trip. to BG.

Absolutely brilliant how this has been done! Extremely clean, harnessed nicely, colour coded, clear instructions and altogether well thought out. Believe me after the last four years of seeing all the things Bob went through with Heaven I've learned to respect his opinion 100% when he so quickly compliments the quality of the workmanship and definately the sound without a hesitation at all. He WILL be able to hear his music while driving now!

When I left Bob last night it sounded great but he was going to "Upgrade" the back speakers he bought to maximize what this is now capable of. It is really impressive that visually the radio looks the same and we all know how important that originality is but hats off to a well thought out product that certainly gives you your moneys worth! You won't be disappointed.

So when Heaven pulls up to the lights what will shake the other cars first? 1000 watts or maybe those sidepipes? Hmmmmmmmm? Heaven, excuse the pun, help the neighbours now! Just remember when you speak to Bob at Cruisefest or Carlisle you might have to SPEAK UP A LITTLE OK!:L
