Have 77 that the radio is not working, how easy is it to replace with a new one, and if so which one?

Thanks for your help

Replacing the radio isn’t difficult. Removing the center stack is straightforward. Replacing the speakers, particularly the driver’s side, is much more involved. I replaced the radio, wasn’t happy with the sound through the then 25 year old speakers, which led to the replacement of the speakers and all kinds of other projects once the dash was removed.

Classic Car Stereo has modern radios and complete upgrade kits that fit and look right without modification to your car. I would go with one of these or similar from another company. It will fit and if you ever want to sell your car or go back to original you won't have to repair things you had to cut to put a radio in.
