Help! Ready To De-Bolt Water Pump—But??

Radiator drained, hoses disconnected, wires, etc. After removing the
thermo-housing/hose, there remained coolant right at the top-surface of the pump unit. At that point, I used a "baster" to siphon what I thought was left. Upon removing the hose at the bottom left of the water pump, more coolant gushed out like the system was still full. I know there's got to be more in the block to gush out when I crack open the water pump. How do you all get rid of this remaining coolant as to not drench the Opti? I mean, I just had it replaced 2 months ago.

Remove both knock sensors, one centered on each side of the block below the cylinder heads.
