Rear axle ratio

On my C5 2001 the rear axle ratio is 3,15 (RPO G90, G92 ). Is the differens between the performance axle and the "standard" axle a big one?

Yeah the performance is 3:15 and standard is 2:73

ONE tenth of a second in a quarter mile run. Probably 1 to 2 mph trap speed.

If you have the option to get a car with a 3;15 rather than 2.73.

Of course if you end up with a vehicle with a 2.73..I have heard they are excellent autox vehicles...(just throw it in first and have at it)

You can also put in a 3.42 rear gear as well. for about 1500 dollars installed.
