rear blower motor - '65 coupe (don't worry, no help needed :)

when i got my '65 coupe last year the control cable for the rear blower motor was frozen up and inoperatable so when it was in the paint shop I took the opportunity to go over one day and remove it, ordered a new one and when we reassembled the car after painting I installed the new cable.
Now that i've had a (small) time to drive the car in the summer heat and humidity I can now report that the cable is working fine, the motor blows very hard............. and it's effectiveness is......USELESS. :eyerole

Actually, I'm not surprised since I heard that it never worked very well in reducing the heat build-up in these cars and that it was only put in for two years for that reason, but I was hoping that I'd be able to see even a tiny amount of difference, but no.
Oh well, at least it's something that wasn't working previously and it's working now and just on principle I prefer to have everything on the car work, even if it is useless. That sucker is pretty loud too but luckily it doesn't make a difference to me there either as I still can't hear it over the sound of the sidepipes ;LOL

oh yeah, see all the pretty ribbons hotglued to the outside outlet behind the drivers door
;LOL

my 65 coupe blower motor cable is frozen too. I think the main purpose was to help defrost the rear window. Only ice cold AC can cut down on the heat in a coupe!
