My rear speaker humms, when i remove it and hook it up to the other of the car works fine, I know the speaker and amp are
in great condition, the front speakers work perfect, I check
with amp meter power is same on both but the other two wires
there is a diffrence. is there a relay or any thing else that sends
signal.

Sounds like you have a bad connection either at the back of the radio or somewhere along the way from the radio to that side of the car. If you have a short in the signal wire somewhere, it could give you the humm you are seeing (er hearing)...

First off...a short in the signal wire will not cause the hum, but will cause a no signal to the speaker scenario. But a bad or broken ground will. The capacitors will filter out the hum and send it to ground, in the absense of the ground the unwanted frequencies flow through to the speaker...

Time to start a trace of the wires and find where the grounds go and clean them up. Vigman has the diagrams and can tell you where to look.

By virtue of the fact swapping sides and it works...rules out any problem with the amp or speaker.

If you have a meter check the continuity of the grounds....the black wire should have little or no resistance to ground. If you get no reading...it is open, if you get resistance it is probable that you have a bad ground that needs cleaning...

I bought a complete enclosure and amp assy. from mid america for my problem at the rear speaker......$149.95....cleared the problem right up...
Now I'm a little happier.....
