Rear Calipers

Paint them with Duplicolor after cleaning and they look great

When changing pad and front rotors about 4 years ago I cleaned the front and rear calipers and used Duplicolor brush on paint before replacing the calipers and pads. The brush in the box is really crappy but it does work. Need to use 3 -5 coats of paint to cover properly. Do this after painting and don't wait more than a half hour between coats or you have to wait 24 hours. I let them dry overnight and replaced the pads. Touched up where I scraped off some paint on reassembly and used some white touch up paint on the CORVETTE letters on the front calipers. They still like new 4 years later. Secret is to clean calipers with brake cleaner and a small brush before painting. Z06 calipers are the SAME just painted red. The red from Duplicolor looks very much like the torch red on the Z06 calipers.
If removing rotors have fun as the bolts are torqued with red loctite at 125 ft lbs. Remove Locktite from the bolts and re-Locktite them when reassembling. I used a breaker bar with a 4 or 5 foot pipe to get enough leverage to break them loose. Some people suggested using heat like a propane torch but I deciced to skip that and use brute force.
