rear seal

ok i have searched and have not found the answer
i am going to pull out the trany in my 91 and rebuilt it
my question is about the rear seal in the engine
i am used to the 2 peice rear seal
but the l98 has a 1 peice rear seal
does the houseing for the one peice rear seal have a "lip" or a stop for it to seat on so u know its completely installed correctly?
i have read lot about this seal but nothing and no pics to find out

Yes, it has a "step", and you can tell when it is all the way in because both outside surfaces get even.

i have done many 2 peice rear seals but never a 1
and every thing i have read made it sound more complicated then i thoguht it should be

I just changed mine along with some other things in mi engine! (Crank, bearings, pistons, rods, etc. )
