hi everyone,

i am installing a complete c4 corvette suspension in my 1956 Studebaker Golden Hawk. I am trying to get the alignment in the ballpark while we finish up the rest of the car. anyway, the rear wheels appear out of alignment. but they are equally towed out. in aother words the measurement center to center of the rear wheels is 58 1/4" on the back of the tires, and 59 1/4" on the front of the tire. do corvettes have a factory taowed out setting or do we need to adjust it? thanks for any help i get!

Sounds like you are going to have a sweet ride! I love that era of Hawks especially when the top is chopped 2 1/2" in front and none in the back. I am a Street Rodder that owns a vette. My next rod (1939 Chevy 2 door sedan) will probably have vette front and rear suspension along with a TPI. Looking in my 85 Factory Shop Manual the alignment specs for toe-in per wheel is .15 degree +- .06 degree. Hope this helps!

ok great, i will check it and see if it matches. thank you for your help. and yea that era hawk is an amazing car, and i definitely recommend doing the corvette swap for suspension, it allowed us to have kick ass brakes, steering, handling, suspension and an easy base for mock up for the 454 we are going to install in it. the only thing was that the factory uni-leafs did not work out and i am going to have to use coil overs which isnt a bad thing nessacarily i just really wante the "corvette" set up you know? thanks for the help
