rear view mirror

I have a loose rear view mirror. it is loose where it conncts to the windshield. i don't see anything to tighten,,,help

Are you sure there is not a torqe bit screw on the mirror bracket, might even be an allen head but don't think so. Should be recessed in the bracket.

There's a small screw in the mirror mount just below where the mirror post enters the base tighten to 13 lb in as per fsm

I had this problem, I used a graphite product around the ball and socket, works like a charm.
