when callaway rebuilds they upgrade to callaway 8 1/2 to1 pistons besides stonger connecting rods

They are supposed to be Billet Steel Rods if I am not mistaken.

They sure are.

"At Carrillo Industries, we use proprietary steel, manufactured and forged to our own custom specifications. After experimenting with virtually every other reasonable material, we have found this chromium / nickel / vanadium / molybdenum FORGED alloy to be the best product to meet our stringent requirements for strength and durability. 8.5:1 Pistons (I've got KS (Kolben-Schmitt) but they don't have any more so they probably use JE or something similar)

Interesting... I don't think they ever made their own. Could you perhaps look at one for me? J/K! They are probably custom made for Callaway so maybe they do have their name stamped into them?

I'd say they are probably JE unless they scrounged up another set of KS pistons. They claim mine had to be shipped from Germany and were the last full set of 8. Truthfully the JE's are probably a better piston.

your probley right. custom made with callaway name stamped on.
ill ask them.
