Recall

Does anybody know about the recall on the convertible tops- I called my dealer and said he would order the part and never heard back- found out today he is out of business-guess I will call another dealer and find out whats up. It there much of a problem fixing it?

I understood that there was a recall on 08/09 vert tops for coming apart .I have not received a recall nor is my top coming apart (YET)

HI there,
There is for 08/09 retainer bracket to be installed to PREVENT a condition of separation of the seams from the #1 bow, but not for the entire top itself. This is where many people get misinformation.
It takes about 15 mins to install.
08312 is the recall number and the part number is 20863581.

C4-C5 specialist- Your right! I got my recall notice and they are installing a retainer brackett on the convertible top because if you go over 100 miles an hour for very long it could rip the top off. The dealership has my part ordered now.
