I recently had a shop replace my transmission, They were refered by a friend that they were honest and they did good work. The transmission literally blew up cracking the case and dumping all the fluid out within 1/4 mile. The warrenty company sent a remanufactured to them and the replaced it with the one in my car. Heres the problem it shifts alot earlier, shifts softer, and seems to have lost alot of power. My battery went bad at the same time and was replaced, I am sure the car sat without any battery for at least two weeks. I had hoped that when the computer reset itself that any settings reguarding the transmission would also return, they have not. Can anyone refer me to a person who is very knowledgeable reguarding the tuning of my corvette? I live in Phoenix, Az. So anywhere in the metroplex area is ok. Also any advice reguarding this issue would be greatly appreciated.

This post needs to be moved out of the C5 Z06 forum and into the regular C5 tech forum.

I sent a PM to member LLC5 with a link to this thread... hopefully he'll check in soon and be able to offer some insight and technical advice.

And BTW - welcome to the :CAC

I am assuming that this is an automatic transmission? If so, then the first place to start would be to see if there are any transmission related codes in your PCM. Hopefully the shop that did the replacement flushed the lines and the cooler thoroughly as there are a lot of contaminents in the system with a bad automatic transmission. As far a a shop in Phoenix area I do not know, maybe someone else can offer some assistance. Why was your original transmission replaced, what were the symptoms? :)
