Josh, They turned out GREAT LOOKING!!!!!!!!!!!! :eek

Are those shots taken at your parks yearly show??

- Nice tires too - Love the TA ZR's :upthumbs
Yep, just a few weeks ago. The weather was in the 80s and we had 225 Vettes, it was awesome.

Mark, Ive still got the Power Effects ;) I just got the car finally tuned with the Power Effects and no cats. Callaway sent me a special spring to do it with. Im now holding rock solid at 56" hg.

Aurora, Im not sure I understand what youre saying but..... the center caps were always the stock 88-89 center caps. They recieved no special treatment. The Dymags were build with those in mind for the car. Actually its not a brushed finish. There is a circular pattern machined in the cap, much like that of the rings in a tree. Don't know of a way to refinish them yet outside of high polish which I don't think I would like, thus I need to buy new caps.

They look great Josh !
On the center caps. You can make them look brand new again. This is what I did with perfect results. I carefully removed the emblem from the center caps. I went to Home depot and bought a product called Graffiti remover in a spray can. I sprayed the caps and after 15 minutes or so I rinsed them with just water. You don't want to use anything abrasive on them since it will scratch the machined surface. The stuff melt the old clear coat very well and rinses with water. After wards I sprayed some clear coat that comes in a can, which I bought at my local auto parts store. I allowed it to dry for a few days then re-installed the emblems. They look perfect now.

Surf - Ye Ol' Wheel shop just told me today they finally got in that machine that can duplicate the machined pattern in the center caps - I think mine will be "going under the knife" ;)

Your car looks FANTASTIC!!!!!! Did you win @ the show or were you prevented from entering (as an employee)?

GREAT on the HG's holing - Sounds like Callaway (Cars) treated you right :upthumbs
Enjoy! :m

figures they'd get it right after mine were done. :eyerole:

I heard from a friend of mine - the guy w/ the ZR1 sized Dymags that were being refinished the same time as Surf's - He had his finish "bubble" in some places - they thought it may be from an electric charge running through the wheel while the car is constantly on a float charger :eek

He wasn't buying it though - rubber tires should isolate the car, right?? I guess it is time for thos static straps like on 70's cars ;)

Actually if you could repost the info for Ye Olde Wheel Shoppe I would call them to see if they could rechrome my 56 T Bird's wire wheels...
