reinstalling the dash?

Ive replaced the dash top with a new replacement piece,and added new speakers(not two big magniits) and when I try to install the drivers side dash I can get it with in about a inch but cant get it in any more?,
I have run the wiring bulk over the top of the gauge cluster(speedo/tach),but should I run the wiring bulk in between the gauge clusters?

Chuck,
There is a half moon bracket attached to the tach and speedo. Check to see if it is hitting the speaker magnet.
