Remote for locking, opening etc.

Just got a C-5 without the remote--just two keys. Is it possible to get a new one and program it or if so would it cost an arm & leg?

As to your question, I believe the only place you can obtain replacement key fobs is the dealer. Did the previous owner install any kind of aftermarket alarm that did away with the need for the fobs?

Check on ebay but make sure you get one (or two), for a 97.

You can also find factory replacements for any car at keylessride.com. They are cheaper than the dealer, and it is a brand new product with programming instructions. The fobs for a 97 Vette with or without Passive Keyless Entry are $119.00.
