You could order either a blue or bronze tint acrylic top. You could have both a solid top and a transparent top with your new Corvette purchase if you chose that option.

You also had the option to have just the transparent top and not the solid top.

RPO
24S Removable Roof Panel, blue tint $650
64S Removable Roof Panel, bronze tint $650

Yep. When I bought my '92 back in '91, I the clear/tinted roofs were optional and the car came with the solid roof unless you specified one of the clear/tinted roof options. You could also get both (RPO C2L) - one for summer and one for winter. My '96 was a dual roof car but I found I never used the clear/tinted roof.

thanks for info

thanks for your info/cotton

thanks going to start looking for solid top

The tops are different between the early and late C4s - can't remember the change over year but the front bolts are closer together on one version. If you buy a solid top from a late C4, say 91-96, it should fit but you may have to adjust the mount points to get a 'new' roof to fit properly. I haven't done that in a while but some here, more current with C4s can provide the instructions if needed.

Good point! I think the year you are referring to is the ’86 model year. There was a change over mid-year where the position of the bolts had been revised.
