Just spoke to a tech at the local chevy dealer.

Don't know if this is good or not, but he advised that when they remove the interior door panels and have the screw behind the sliding lock knob in position where they cant get too it to remove the door panel, then they simply break the panel loose as he advised the screw has little or no use at all as there is not a way to get to it as this was a flaw in design of the 1993 models.

Thanks to all in advance for your ideas.

Have him button up your car and take it to another dealer. Ask him if it were his vette would he just simply break loose a $500.00 door panel?
