This is the week for work on my 84 I guess. Everything seems to be happening at once. The other day, I rolled the window down and it would not go up. It's about 1/2 inch from all the way down and after pulling it into the garage and turning off everything so there is no noise, I listened for the window motor to make some noise showing that it was working. There was nothing.
So I'm starting with the switch, hoping that's the easy fix and trying to go from there. However, I can't figure out how to get the switch disconnected. I have the trim pieces to a point where i can get under them and work. I was going to remove the left switch (the one I think is bad) and plug the right switch into that connector to see if the window goes up or not. Are the left and right switches interchangable? If I don't get any change there, then I move on to the door and open it up looking for power at the motor, etc.
Any suggestions on how to get the switch out of the plug would be beneficial. I was afraid to put a screw driver in and pry as I don't want to damage anything.
Thanks,
John
