In a 1996 Corvette (and I assume all C-4s are the same), in addition to the wires that come up through the carpeting under the seats, there is a plastic tube that comes up through the carpeting. The plastic tube has what appears to be some type of fitting that allows you to disconnect the tubing at this point along with disconnecting the wiring. Is there any problem with disconnecting the tubing at this fitting?

No problems. Just put them back where you found them. I removed mine a couple of times, vaccuming, and installing the roll bar. Actually, one of the bladders worked better after removing and re-installing. Probably had one of the lines lose before.
