Replacement hood

Anyone else have a replacement hood? I was in an accident requiring a new hood. Its seems weaker and less sturdy than an original. Should i search out for an original?

Who was the replacement made by?

When it comes to some aftermarket things for the Corvette, body pieces are not something I would go with. I would only go with GM pieces.

I think that if you could find one where it was hit on the side or rear of the car, the hood should be in pretty good shape.

Hi Guys, I replaced the front clip on my 70 coupe with an Ecklers one piece type. It eliminated seams and looked original when we finished it. The fiberglass was a tad/bugsass thicker and took the paint well. This was 20 years ago and cost around 800.00. That was the only time(I hope the last time) that I had purchased any aftermarket body panels and was happy with it. It wasn't a collectors piece, so originality didn't matter. Looked beautiful when it was finished, I added a BB/LT-1 hood that I found locally. Just my 02...........Enjoy
