I need to replace both front and rear springs in my 65 coupe. Both front and rear are sagging. I am running a small block with factory air and automatic. What weight springs should I run in order to maintain the proper ride heigth and increase handling performance but without making it ride like a brick?

Thanks,
Al

The repo springs will do the trick for the front and for the rear why can't you just get it rearched and clean it up and put it back in there?? Or are you looking to change to a composite rear spring? I put the SB springs in mine from ZIP and they are good to go.. Dave..

Dave,
I can have the rears rearched at Tampa Springs here in Florida. I don't particularly want to go to composit. I see several choices for my year car such as the F41 suspension. I saw one vendor offering anywhere form what I thinks was a 285 spring rate to a 500 lb spring rate (front). I was wondering which would be the best for a driver?

Thanks,
Al

The "softer" the spring, the smoother the ride. I replaced both front and rear on my '65 air/auto coupe with the lower rated springs. Couldn't be happier. Mine too is a driver and I wanted it to be comfortable . It is. Even with the lower rated springs the Vette handles and corners like a slot car!
