I am replacing a damaged fender badge. I removed the speed nuts, but the adheasive is very tight. What is the proper way to removed the badge?
Thanks

Paul, I've heard people say to get some fishing line and "cut" through with it.

If you have a heat gun, you can heat it up VERY carefully, and then remove.

I don't have a heat gun, but a hair dryer should help and be safe, I would think.
Thanks, LT4Man

Absolutely! :upthumbs

Just be patient and you will end up OK. The glue sticks well for a reason: less badges flying off in the wind!

Heat up the emblem with a hair dryer on med setting (careful not to burn the paint)then use waxed dental floss to break the bond between the paint and the emblem. Once you have the emblem removed take a soft rag with a small amount of WD40 to wipe the excess adhesive. Apply a light coat of wax and install new emblem. :)
