Replacing hood

Better to remove hood with brackets attached or remove from brackets ?

I take the Hinges off at Hood!! Just seem's easey'r to Realing when puting back on!! junk!!

When we rebuilt the engine we removed the hood from the brackets.
I took paint tape and taped around the brackets where they connect at the hood and sprayed a paint color just a little darker than my underhood gray so we could easily line the brackets back up when re-installing.
