Question: Replacing rear shocks ?

All I can find are gas shocks, is this what came on the 73 Corvettes? Thanks

Gas shocks didn't commonly exist in the 70s when your car was built. No problem using them now though.

Actually, Bilstein introduced high-pressure gas-filled dampers in 1957. It is very likely that, in 1973, they were available on the aftermarket for Corvettes. I know for a fact you could get them in 1980.

If you're no concerned with originality, a set of Bilsteins with Sport valving work quite well on C3s. That''s what I've had on my hot rod 71 since 1980.
