Has anyone replaced the tie rods with hemi joints and chromolly steel tubing?

I've seen it done before. I think Guldstrand may have a kit for this.

This is how he runs his race car, and he has had steel on steel joints in his street vette. They are in my opinion way to harsh for the street, and hard to seal from moisture, and thus they wear out faster than rubber or poly if used as a daily driver.

Vette Brakes and Products uses a hybrid for the lower strut rods (smart struts) where they are a adjustable sleeved threaded rod, but with poly bushings on each end instead of metal hemi style joints.
