Anyone ever replace the turn signal switch? If so, how hard is it to do this? I have replaced my steering wheel but have gone no further into the column than that.

Regards,

Jim

This job is not that hard, just a little tricky. You must have a good wheel puller and the secondary tool that holds the horn plate while you remove the clip.

The telescopic requires some creativity. I can't remember how to hold it on the C3, but you need to cut a bolt down and screw it into the shaft on the C4 as if the locking mechanism was in place.

Just lay everything out in order, and put it back in order. Get the horn plate tool and a good G.M. manual with an exploded view of all parts incase you get in trouble.

Don't buy a new switch until you examine the old one. I thought mine was dead but it was just the pins that hold in the turn signal stem to the switch.
