I have a 93 LT-1 vert and a previous owner ripped a hole in the resonator. Was looking to install a new stainless system this winter while layed-up. Was thinking of going with Magnaflow but they dont seem to have a cats back system and didnt want to go with new mufflers and leave the damaged resonator in place. Was looking at the Corsa system but it is quite a bit more pricey. Didnt notice a resonator with any of the systems I looked at. When you go with a new cats back system do they do away with the resonator? Can a new resonator be purchased? On the side-pipe systems is there a problem on clearance on a 93?

Just eliminate the resonator completely and put in a X pipe and it will sound and run better. Thew Xpipe will even out the exhaust pulses and will be even quieter.

Go with the Corsa, you won't be disappointed.

Junk the resonator

I went to a muffler shop and had them remove the resonator and put in straight pipe for $80.00. On my auto 93 it sounds just right for me and I get compliments on the deep burble from the car.:)
