Steve.

Did it almost 10 years ago at age 53. Retirement can mean a huge adjustment that takes some getting used to (really).
Learning to enjoy a slower pace takes time. Having a hobby and/or activites in order to keep from getting bored are important too. Sounds like you already have part of that planned.
Hope you enjoy the big R as much as I have.
Terry

I can't wait to retire. Problem is I have about 19 more years (59) and two kids that aren't even in high school yet. Oh well.

Good Luck to you and enjoy your retirement...! Always better to do it in a vette. Watch out for cops though!

Congratulations on your retirement, and many thanks for your years of service on the home front. Cheers, Andy :pat

Make your trip along the New York City watershed areas, Pecpaction, Downville part of the Catskill region but watch out for the water cops, they do give tickets. Wait you'll be an EX so there might be a couple of get outts jail free cards for you.

Best of luck with your retirement and keep her between the lines!

:upthumbs I am happy for you....I will have my thirty Aug. 1st.....but I think I will hang in there for awhile longer...good luck.....:)

Congrats! I am in the "not so good" public employees retirement system, so I have 24 years 3 months before I can go (and I have 11 years in). My wife, who is in the "great" retirement system can go in 13. Hope she doesn't think she is getting the keys....:nono

My dad lives in Olean, so I pass through your area a lot. Nice place to drive. Enjoy!!
