Hello all, I have been away for several years battling some health demons. I am still fighting a good fight, and though I realize there can be no cure, I am not letting my health dictate how I live. I will make concessions because of my symptoms and limitations, but I still try to do the things I want to do.
I will be joining in slowly, getting my feet wet and used to the waters again, before I jump in and swim with the sharks.

Hi, everyone! Thanks so much for the warm welcome. It is good to come back and feel right at home so quickly. :cool

I feel I should clarify; I do not have cancer (just a rather embarassing-to-describe medical problem) and my good days are definitely outnumbering the bad, and for that I am thankful as I am able to do more and more of my usual activities. My specialist Dr is head of her department at Emory and my surgeon for last years surgery was the Emory "go-to" Doctor for repairing botched surgeries and/or dealing with scar tissue issues in surgical patients. I felt very lucky to have him be the one who did the initial surgery as I figured he would know what NOT to do...and he did a great job, changing the surgery on-the-fly and improving my overall condition because of his good decision.

Hooah! Glad to hear things going well... There is GREAT medicine practiced here! NO reason to describe... Look you could have been in Canada and waited or not had EXPERTS (and transport ) available at all!

Hi Bob! Jodi's lookin' good in your avatar!

It is nice to be back. It is also nice to have my 78 back in my garage, too. Now we just need to get this radiator installed and I should be able to tear up the roads!

PaintDaddy around? I need to ask him a question about repairing/repainting the nose of the 78. She got a booboo at the mechanic's. Still haven't hashed that out with him, but I want to get an estimate, first.

Good Luck to you Heidi, I'm no stranger to the Big C. Keep your head up, we're with you......
Thank you Muddy, but don't spend too much time worrying about me because I do not have cancer. I am giving myself chemo shots every week and dealing with some of the side effects from that med, but I do not have cancer. I have an auto-immune disease where chemo is used to bring down my overly-excited antibodies to a better controlled level instead of running wild and wreaking havoc.
I am keeping my head up to see the goal I wish to reach, and I'll keep my heart next to yours too, because we can all use support.

Great to see you back again Heidi. I wish you the best with your health issues and hope to be seeing more post from you in the future.

Welcome back.:w

Welcome back, I too, am fighting a serious illness and have sustained significant limitations. But I am far too much in love with my Corvette to be very far from it. Good luck to you and god bless you and your future.
