Rhino ramp movement

My ramps have this little rubber square around 2"x2" near the front of the ramps.

Quit waxing the floor!

Try putting a rubber pad between them and the floor.

Hey, the wax was overspray from the polishing incident of 2003!!!;LOL ;LOL ;LOL

Oh hey wait a minute here that really happened, accidentally left a bottle of Zymol behind the front wheel, Oh man the wheel well was a big blue mess.:cry :mad

Anyway, my ramps have the little squares too, but they still slide, there is a hole in the front of them, has anybody used lag bolts?

What most do is place a 2 x 4-6 or 8 across the front of the ramp...this does two things...raises the front so the air dam doesn't hit and gets the car onto the ramp.

I'm speculating you have an automatic. The ramps are pesky because you are using the brakes. I personally prefer to back onto the ramps and jack the front. But if you can let it roll without the brakes until the tires are well on the ramp, then you can control the brakes. If you are nervous about that, use the emergency brake to control you movement.

I just have my wife or a friend put their foot on the ramp while I am driving up on it, works real well and I have never run over anyone yet.

;LOL

I just put the front wheels right up against the ramps and they've always worked.

I drilled a hole in the floor, and drop a1/2" bolt into it & place the ramps against it.

It also helps to hold the ramp in place when you use a board. A piece of 1" plywood works too. ;)

Can't use Rhino Ramps

I bought a pair of these Ramps last weekend and even though they have a low profile, the Front Spoiler are too low and would hit the Ramps. I have over a 4 inch clearance, but still would hit. Returned them and thinking of making a Ramp from 2 X 12's. Any other ramp ideas. Pain to change the oil without raising the Car. Thanks,
John

Still no-good

I put some boards in front of the Ramps before I took them back and it still would hit the Spoilers. The best price I saw for the Rhino Ramps were $30 at Auto Zone. I do like your website and am interested in some possible modifications.
Thanks,
John
