Right Exhaust Excessively Hot

I have a 1980 coupe with a 305 engine. The right exhaust is 150 degrees hotter than the left side. This happened after the car backfired. This caused the car to run very rough. Then I noticed the heat issue. I found that the intake manifold was warped so I have replaced the intake manifold and put on a new Edlebrock carburator. The car is running better, but that has not fixed the heat problem. Any ideas?

Do you have a 1980 and a 1981???
my guess is that something is blocking the exhaust on that side.
it is letting some of the exhaust out but not all of it.
But I am open to one of the more experienced techs on this site to weigh in!!!!

A '80 with 305 and E4ME carb I think.

My guess is that you collapsed a cat on the hot side and it is causing a blockage.

how about the heat riser is closed...

this was my 1st thought as well.
it's a 2 into 1 Y pipe to the cat
