my door panels on my '80 corvette are easy. take out a couple of screws holding door, screw for plate by door handle, two screws holding arm rest, remove door lock knobs, take door panel off and then take allen wrench and back out allen head screw that holds mirror adjustment cable , disconnect power door lock harness , pull power door lock off and whoolah. reassembly in reverse. that's all there is to it.

I wish it was going to be that simple. While I have the panels off I am going to rebuild and adjust the window mechanisms.

Might not hurt to take a small fire extinguisher with you. I've heard horror stories of guys having to stand and watch there car go up in flames and could nothing about it.

Hey.. the fire extinguisher ideas is a great one thanks...i think i will get one. what kind and size? i think it is a great ideae for all corvette owners.
