rocker arm recall??

I'm picking up my "new to me" LT4 next Saturday. I was reading somewhere that there was a recall early on because of bad rocker arms. How can I find out if my car had the recall done? It's only got 14.5k miles and I'm buying from the original owner but haven't had the chance to ask him about this yet.

I'd be curious to know exactly where you saw that.......I've had mine serviced regularly by a renouned specialist .......since new......never mentioned nor did I ever receive notice from GM........and welcome to the forums

very first item will show that certain vin's were recalled twice for rocker arm problems.

Turns out my GS falls into the cars recalled. Guess I should get it checked out.

mmmmmmm, schweeeeeeet looking black beauty!

I have seen where some guys that work for G.M. dealers have been getting their hands on these rockers and selling them on the aftermarket. I assumed they were snagging them out of the warranty room at the dealer. I could not figure out how they were getting warranteed out, but this may explain it.

whew...had me worried for a minute...........ok.......now I can say been there .....done that ......not ever goin' back..............5114140's clean......good thing too........cause high rpm happens a lot!!!!
