I know that different body parts of the car are made out of different composite materials, however has anyone else had the issue that the hood does not feel as smooth as other parts of the car body. I have waxed with a good cleaner/wax and it "softens" a bit... but still not a smooth as a baby's butt. Any thoughts?

If you are able to "soften" it a bit, that must mean that there is some type of residue on the hood. If it didnt make a difference, you probably would have a paint issue. Keep at it!

I haven't noticed any panel problems on the C6, but paint orange peel is as bad as ever...real bad.

They are made from the same plastic composite materials used in the C5. Carbon fiber is restricted to the Z06 only for the C6 and the '04 Commemorative Edition Z06 for C5.
