New Vette owner here (96 Collector LT4). I've read a few of the threads concerning fluid for the six speed so I'm clear on the GM or BMW fluids as recommended choices.
The local speed shop suggested "Royal Purple Synchromax High Performance Manual Transmission Fuid". I guess many of their race customers use it (though I think they're more quarter mile guys, not track racers).
There was nothing on the bottle about viscosity or GL rating so I called Royal Purple in Texas (218-354-8600) and talked to one of their technical guys (Jeff) He went through some sort of industrial conversion table (well over my head) and came up with a viscosity of 10W30 but no GL conversion. He said that according to their "compatability analysis" it should work with no worries (of course, it's not his transmission). Has anyone else looked into this?
