Hello
I have a question on my 1970. The front end sags where it meets the hood about 1/2-3/4 of a inch I know there is a brace in there where the headlights mount and i herd on the later cars there is a brace that holds that up. Should there be one on my car? If so what does it look like (photos). or do i need to replace the cross brace ( i hope not)

Thanks

I have a similar problem with my 75. The nose of the hood is recessed along with the rear of the headlamp assemblies. In fact the headlamps rub when raised. Any help in this area would be appreciated.

On the 70 ,there is a center bumper bracket that also acts as a support for the front clip.It has alot of adjustment but to do this you will have to loosen the outer brackets also.I will try to take some pics of a 68 that I have apart right now .
On the 75 Im kinda confused. It sounds like you just need to adjust your headlight assemblies and maybe shim your hood.

Mark,

I took a look at your web page and love that scissors lift that you have the car on. What kind is it and where did you get it. I saw a BEND PAK Model MD6XP for $1,700 that looked very similiar. A good solution for those of us with limited space.

front end problems

Here are the pics of the bracket that acts as the brace for the front end and the center front bumper mount. The adjustments are in the bolts that bolt to the cross member.

Bob,

I got that lift from Eagle Equipment. The link is www.Eagleequip.com I am very happy with the lift. They usually have the best buys and good after purchase service network.

Thanks.. So even though that part mounts at the front of the car it should raise the hood/front end gap? I will wonder out to the garage and check it out

Yeah, the part that mounts to the crossmember adjusts back or forward.,When you adjust it forward it raises the nose and visa versa. No problem Bob,I also might be upgrading my bead blaster too.
