I'm checking the sites to get opinions on vettes that have been wrecked and rebuilt. Some of the ones I've seen look showroom new. Are there any problems with resale or tradein values?

Because it is "salvage" no one knows how bad was the car. Most insurance companys will total out cars that were stolen even thou they don't have a lot of damage just so that they don't have to put up with fixing everything that goes wrong for the next year.
As far as value, I think a salvage titled car will only be worth 40 to 60 % of its value. Most dealers won't touch a car that was totaled.
I think you are asking for trouble unless you are willing to drive the car and pay to fix what ever goes wrong until it goes to the junk yard.
Good luck......just my .02:v :Steer :Steer :Steer

The only way I can see making it ahead on a salvage car is if you bought it wrecked fixed it yourself
that way you know what had happend to it and you did the work.
No matter what the resale value is done as well as trade in value..

The car may be perfectly ok. I had a 87 that had been rebuilt It was a great car..

but when I sold it I got less than what it was worth
Guy is racing it on weekends now on my engine rebuild!
