I guess we looked trustworthy enough that he let us wonder around the entire yard ourselves.

Trustworthy enough?????, I don't know, Barry. I've met Andy....Him I'd let roam the yard, but you????????;LOL

Seriously though, If you guys get back up that way, let me know. Bristol is about a 15 minute ride from my house. I'll meet ya's there.

Good thing the new truck has a tow package. Now all I need is a trailer to haul that rebuildable early C3 home!!!!

the Bristol Inn can be seen from rt 1 not far from the Neshaminy Mall there used to be a junkyard close to it but I don't know if it is the same one. There may even be two Corvette junkyards in Bristol as there is another Ebay seller from Bristol who deals in Impala SS, Fbodys and Vettes. I would be willing to bet the urban developement will have them shut down in less then 10 years.

Chris
i have a feeling if that '71 BB was really rebuildable it wouldn't have been sitting in this yard. Besides, the guy there said that car was about to be dragged off........ and it wasn't for a massage and a nights entertainment for it, to the crusher it was going very soon. It's been fairly picked over, the body is just destroyed, the frame is rusted out completely and that BB motor was in about the same condition as the rest of the car. It would be cheaper probably to find and purchase a perfect condition '71 BB top-flight car than attempting any kind of rebuild on this one. The only useful item left on the car would be the VIN tag to make another car from scratch.

wouldn't surprise me. I hate the sprawl......... grew up on a farm of a little over 850 acres in NJ and still can not get use to all the development of housing, malls, etc. Also can't get used to neighbors houses so close to mine I can actually SEE them, let alone almost be able to spit on them from my own.

What part of Jersey? I grew up in Morris County in North Jersey worked for a couple of Farmers thru High School. Boy do I hate that state anymore, the only thing I miss are the Cheese Steaks ;LOL

Craig, i grew up in S. Jersey in a little town called Pemberton.
Yep, I can get decent cheesesteaks here in De. but not as good as Jersey and lets not mention the Pizza. I can't get a decent pizza to save my life around here but when the wife and I go up to visit family (we both are from NJ) we make sure to get a good pizza most of the time. And the best italian food you will ever eat is in a resturant between Rt's 206 and 73 just down from the Red Lion circle. :)

Hi Guys..

The "WAWA Blonde" was just..:D ..Someone you may see very infrequently..a real head turner with high heels on to boot!! She was having problems with the gas pumps..guess I missed my chance, but then again my 17YO son Alex was with us...who knows...AAHHH to dream!!! She was all of 30 YO...

Chris..If we go again, We will let ya know! Hope your doing well..

Andy

Funny, my wife and I grew up in Morris County (Rockaway) as well. The Navy took me away twenty five years ago. When I got down here, we couldn't get half the foods we were use to. The pizza is still hard to find, but with so many transplants now, a few can make a decent pizza here. How about those Sabret hot dogs?

Barry,
I guess from the sounds of things, if there was a decent early C3 it would have been snatched up pretty quickly I would imagine. I still wouldn't mind going there and maybe picking thru the C5's for some stuff, though. You know, emblems to have as back up, small stuff like that.

Andy,
We're all doing great, thanks. Except for CJ. Poor little guy broke his leg in 4 spots in a trampoline accident on Nov. 3. Full leg cast now, a short one in a couple of weeks. He's coping real well with it though. I know I couldn't cope as well as he is!!!

PM me your email address. I have those pics from Smithville I still owe you.

Chris

Chris..You have been PM'd.

Andy :)
