Hi! Does anyone know whether the seat buckets on the 87s-89s are the same, and allow you to snap in either the mounted standard seat covers or mounted optional sport seat covers? Basically, I really don't care about the inflatible lumbar support in the sport seats, and was thinking about replacing some torn sport seat covers with mounted standard seat covers, and it appears to me from the catalags that the seat buckets, themselves, are the same. Is this correct?

Thanks,

Don't quote me on it, but I believe the '87-89 seats are the same. Bear in mind though, there are sport seats as well as regular seats. ;)

Thanks! I am learning about this, and it appears that the sport seats' bolsters are moved by metal wings that are somehow connected to the seat bucket. So, if you wanted to replace the sport seats with standard seats, you'd have to take care of these wings---do they unbolt? Hmmmm.... Al Knock mentioned having to file them, but this doesn't look quite right from the diagrams. If not, can you swap in the standard seats by simply bolting the bucket containing them onto the power rack?
