I HAVE A 1980 L82 VETT, AND NEED SOME HELP ON INSTILATION FOR MY NEW SEATS. I SEE THAT IN THE FOAM THERE IS A BAR RUNNING THRU. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS ON HOW THE OLD SEATS SEPERATE FROM THE CLIP. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT.

THANKS TIM

Tim, I'd really like to help you, but it is very dificult to tell you by typeing. I can put it in one small statement though.......It's a PITA!!!! You have to almost fold the cushion in half to get the new ones in, as far as getting the old ones out, just carfully take a large plat tip screwdriver and pry the bar over(to the center of the cushion) and out from under the tabs. The new ones you usually have to cut away part of the foam so you can see the bars, and then pry them out of the foam. With two large screwdrivers, pry the bar out with one and push the bar under the tab with the other. Having help with this is very helpful, and maybe a couple of 6 packs:).......Good luck.....Steve
