sebring 12 hour

has anyone ever been to this race.
when i get back from korea i will be stationed in tampa florida 90 miles from the sebring raceway so i was thinking about trying to catch the race.
is it worth the 90 bucks for the 4 day ticket.

Never have been there but if I was that close, it sounds like a bargain.

My fiancee is from Jacksonville and attended the race a couple times in years past. She enjoyed it.

If memory serves, Corvettes will be running GT2 by the time you get home.

I was there (as a 16-year-old crew chief) in 1957 (photo of the start below), and have been there many times since. Spend the 90 bucks - you'll like it!

Yes, it was - started turning wrenches when I was 12, racing when I was 16, and apparently there's no known cure.
