Sebring silver metallic paint 1996-2000?

I was looking for some touch up paint as I have a couple of pretty minor marks on a door edge and noticed Sebring Silver is not specific to the 1996 Collector Edition, but is listed by some of the aftermarket companies as Sebring Silver Metallic 1996-2000.

I once heard that it changed shades slightly half way through 1996. I also noticed Sebring Silver listed for 1963. I wonder if all these years were the same Sebring Silver colour or just the name was the same?

I am going to get a small touch up container and figured it would be probably ok to get a C5 one from 1997-2000 if a 1996 was not available.
Any warnings I should be aware of?

Sebring Silver has only been used twice, to my knowledge and has not been used again since '96 (on a Vette). Yes the formula did change during '96 and is Vin# specific.

So that is why I was wondering if it was the same colour. Maybe the formula change later in 1996 is the one they used also for 1997-1999. Or maybe it is another Sebring Silver.

I've ordered lots of parts online from both Mid America and Corv. Central. Though I usually have good luck, I have ordered things like plug wires from Mid America that didn't even come close to fitting despite their insistance that they were the correct part ;squint: so, I would be a bit guarded about ordering "correct" paint from them. I've had great luck with the paint links posted above.
